Dr. Kathryn Sowerwine is a Board Certified Allergist & Immunologist trained at the prestigious National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. After completing her residency at Georgetown University Hospital and joining the faculty there, she decided to pursue her passion in studying immunodeficiency and published papers at the national level. Beyond her research interests, she is also very committed to her private practice in Northern Virginia that serves the needs of patients afflicted with Allergic and Dermatologic conditions. She is on the forefront of cutting edge technology that aims to bridge gaps in medical care through the use of telemedicine. Dr. Sowerwine has also volunteered time abroad in Cameroon, Africa to serve disadvantaged patients for primary care needs. Her vision is to bring equitable health care coverage for all, regardless of socio-economic status.

Richard Cashion, MD

Dr. Richard Cashion comes to WellVia from College Station, Texas. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Post-graduate training began with an Internal Medicine residency at the Harvard Medical Service at Boston City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Cashion has had several academic appointments including a teaching fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A & M Health Science Center. Dr. Cashion is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
